GCRN / A new service from ASIC
PRESENTATION
What is GCRN ?
GCRN is intended to be an informal network consisting of all coffee research institutions or groups agreeing to share information on their research activities to facilitate contacts among researchers and possibly improve coordination in coffee research.
ASIC’s role in GCRN is to collect this information and to make it accessible to all potentially interested parties by posting it on its web site in appropriately organised pages. As such, ASIC intends to act as a facilitator. On the other hand, the association has no intention of interacting in the research programme of any of the institutions participating in the network.
How will it work ?
As of now, coffee research institutions are invited to send to ASIC Office information about their organisation and objectives, activities and research project, as well as links to their own internet pages.
This information will then be posted on this internet platform incorporated in ASIC web site. When up and running, GNRC pages will be maintained regularly. Once or twice a year, the participants to the network will be invited to update the information relating to their research activities and project status.
GCRN will be activated as soon as a representative amount of material is available. Therefore, ASIC look forward to receiving information material from all concerned research institutions. Comments and suggestions are also welcome.
