Dear colleague,
On behalf of the ASIC Board and of the ASIC 2006 Organizing Committee,
I cordially invite you to participate in the 21st International Conference on Coffee Science in Montpellier,
France, from 11 to 15 September 2006.
The Association is delighted to host this important event.
It takes on a most particular significance given the concerns about the effects of coffee on health, and the sustainability of coffee production.
Indeed, it constitutes a platform for exchanges between agronomists, chemists, technologists, roasters, nutritionists, and anyone in relation
with coffee production and the coffee industry, enabling them to find out about the latest progress in coffee research.
We have no doubt that the very comprehensive programme for ASIC 2006 will enable the international experts
meeting on this occasion to share experiences that can contribute to the establishment of a sustainable coffee economy on a
world scale.
In addition, the excursion proposed in the wings of the conference will provide the opportunity for participants to appreciate the cultural ù
richness of the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
I very much look forward to seeing you in September 2006.
Andrea Illy
